That night, I was in my room doing some rehab exercises, when my mom walked in holding the phone in her hand…

My girlfriend had called to see how I was doing…or so I thought.

But I was quickly blindsided as she told me it would be best if we were “just friends”.

3 months ago, my leg was broken. Now, my heart was.

To make matters worse, I then found out from a friend that she had left me for another guy who was more “her type”.
